Student Support for Appeal
A group of students from the University of Bath School of Management have used their course work to make a useful contribution towards the Julian House Christmas appeal.
Their business idea which would help a good cause was a photographic competition amongst fellow students. But rather than just come up with an impressive collection of Bath images they committed to having the winning entries printed and then sold on as postcards to raise money for Julian House. All of this within a strict deadline of a few weeks.
Although final figure is yet to be calculated the total raised is likely to top £900. Cecil Weir the charity's funding manager was impressed with their efforts - "Right from the start it was a great concept but It struck me that they had a lot to do in quite a short space of time. Their energy and commitment was impressive to see. Not only did they generate good sponsors, including Bath Photographic Society, they organsied the printing, the marketing and all the other nitty gritty that is necessary for these things. And to come away with a £900 profit towards the Julian House campaign is a fantastic result. Well done them."
