Charity of the Year
Many companies and organisations select charities for support throughout the year. Julian House welcomes such endorsements. Obviously financial support like this is very welcome but almost of equal value is the increased awareness that they generate.
There are still many myths surrounding homelessness – for example, that it is a lifestyle of choice or that homeless people have dogs, just so that they can claim extra benefits. Both are untrue.
