Cotswold Way Challenge
.
2009 Provisional Dates
13 - 17 May
10 - 14 June
It may be right on our doorstep but the Cotswold Way can seem like a very distant goal. Lots of people have always fancied doing it but just never got round to making it happen. Others are put off by having to organise transport and stopovers.
Now Julian House has made it a whole lot easier. We’ll sort out all the transport challenges and accommodation – leaving walkers to follow one of England’s finest long distance foot paths.
Participants will be whisked north to the pretty Cotswold village of Chipping Camden. From here they’ll start the scenic journey back to the official finish line at Bath Abbey. Along the way they will pass through some of the region’s finest countryside – steep Cotswold escarpments, rolling farmland, over ancient hilltop forts and through chocolate box villages such as Broadway, Winchcombe and Nympsfield.
Julian House is keen to ensure that the event will generate the maximum amount of support for its work with the homeless. Participants will pay an initial registration fee (£180) which covers all the main costs, including their accommodation. They will then be asked to raise the sponsorship target of £350 – all of which will go towards Julian House’s various projects.
