After months of focusing on our Christmas Appeal our fundraising team has got together to share thanks to everyone who helped out over the course of this campaign.
These are tough times for so many, with lots of people struggling to make ends meet. The fact that our supporters are choosing to help others who may be more at-risk and vulnerable is a testament to their incredible generosity and kindness.
“One 10yr-old girl even got in touch to say she had written a special card and wanted to give £15 to Julian House, to help wherever it was needed most. Thank you to everyone who has donated. Please spread the word and encourage people to donate what they can. It really is changing and saving lives.” Gavin Osborn, Community and Events Fundraiser
Donations
Thank you to everyone has donated in response to our Christmas appeal so far. With your support, we can keep our doors open and keep our clients safe. We can help our clients reclaim their identities, rediscover their passions and purpose and look forward to a brighter future.
Not only have we received monetary donations but for food, toiletries, gifts and more which will be distributed to clients during this holiday period.
“For outreach clients and hostel clients we rely heavily on kind donations from the public for clients gifts. We have been very fortunate this year and have received quite a lot of gifts so far. Some of the clients no longer see their families so this may be the only gift they receive.” Sarah, Service Manager at Manvers Street Hostel
Schools
Schools across the South West have been taking a stand against homelessness by raising money for Julian House and supporting our services.
We aim to work with students in a variety of ways so they can build their own skills to learn more about the charity sector through group projects and donation drives.
“Whether it has been schools and colleges donating food or hosting Christmas concerts; church groups and local businesses holding raffles, auctions and bake sales for us; or families and individuals coming together to give what they can, the support we have had from our local community has been extraordinary. I have loved meeting so many of you, especially our team of volunteers out on the streets handing out leaflets on bitterly cold winter nights.” Gavin Osborn, Community and Events Fundraiser
