Away days to help resettlement into the South West

Our refugee team have organised a bunch of trips for our clients recently, with an incredible take up in these services.

Our refugee support service connects with people who are fleeing persecution from all over the world – from countries as diverse as Afghanistan, Ukraine, Syria and Hong Kong.

Our support workers will help clients to find and set up a home, access education and training, navigate the job market, find schools for their children and ensure they have access to the benefits to which they are entitled.

No matter where they have come from, our project supports and empowers individuals and families to rebuild their lives, move forwards from trauma, and live happily and independently in the UK.

This Autumn, the group organised activities that featured a 'walk with me' excursion to Ashton Court, a volunteer project at Westonbirt Arboretum, and a visit to the We The Curious science museum, where participants could engage with all the hands-on science exhibits.

Events like these offer many practical and emotional benefits, making the resettlement journey smoother and building a foundation for refugees to thrive.

We strive to make them feel less isolated and to integrate into their new communities, so they can establish their home here.

We are grateful to the team for putting so much care and effort into providing these valuable opportunities for our clients.
