Charity shop donation do's and don'ts

Thank you for supporting our shop! Your generous donations help us raise vital funds and make a real difference to local people who need our help.
To help us make the most of every item you give, please follow the guidelines below:
What we can accept:

Clothing (clean and in good condition – all sizes, styles, and seasons welcome)
Shoes (pairs only, in wearable condition)
Accessories (handbags, scarves, hats, belts, jewellery)
Books (in good condition, suitable for resale)
Bric-a-brac (homeware, kitchenware, ornaments, decorative items)
Toys & games (complete and safe – with a CE mark where applicable)
Small electrical items (in working order – e.g. toasters, lamps, radios)
DVDs, CDs, vinyl records
New/unopened toiletries & cosmetics
Small furniture (please check with us first – space is limited)
What we can't accept:

Broken or damaged items
Soiled or unwashed clothing
Duvets, pillows, and mattresses (for hygiene reasons)
Car seats, prams, or baby equipment
Large furniture or white goods (fridges, cookers, etc.)
CRT TVs or old computer monitors
Hazardous items (e.g. knives, tools, flammable
materials)
Out-of-date or used cosmetics/toiletries
Food or drink donations
Helpful Tips:
Bag and label your donations where possible – this helps us sort items efficiently.
Gift Aid it! If you're a UK taxpayer, your donation could be worth 25% more at no extra cost to you. Just ask us about signing up for Gift Aid.
