The 16th March saw the return of the South West’s most iconic races- the Bath Half.
The sun was shining as streets were cordoned off and spectators lined the roads to see 11,000 runners start the 13.5 mile journey across the city.
The Bath Half Marathon is one of the longest running and most popular city centre road races in Britain and since its creation the race has been a staple in our fundraising calendar.
We gathered in a sunny Victoria Park alongside local charities to soak up the electric atmosphere at the starting point where runners could join communal warm ups or receive a free massage.
We had 14 runners made up of supporters and staff who all challenged themselves to raise money to support vulnerable and at-risk individuals across the South-West.
From the gates of Royal Victoria Park, our runners followed a predominantly flat, sometimes undulating course along the north side of the River Avon.
Approximately half way round route crosses the river and heads east along Lower Bristol Road. It they crossed back across the river, taking everyone back to Royal Avenue, close to the start line.
Thank you to everyone who took part!
