Christmas is both a joyous and reflective time. Many of our dedicated team will be working on Christmas Day to ensure all feel supported and cared for.
Here's a glimpse of what Christmas Day, and the lead up have included:

Manvers Street emergency hostel
The staff have been decorating the hostel with decorated Christmas trees and craft created by the clients staying there.
Christmas Day began with the hostel residents receiving presents in the morning and then volunteers cooking and serving a full roast for lunch.
Supported housing
Units of supported accommodation have had their Christmas Party, complete with a roast dinner, presents and a lot of festive cheer!
Domestic abuse refuge

The staff took the children staying at the refuge to Rock the Tots, which is a stage show incorporating music, song, dance, bubbles and puppets!
They also had a Christmas themed movie afternoon on Christmas Eve.
It wouldn't be Christmas without the feast!
Staff and clients enjoyed a really inclusive meal, with Polish soup from one of my Polish clients, Sri Lankan curry from my Sri Lankan client, and the traditional English Christmas dinner.
Winter celebration in South Gloucestershire
Our resettlement team threw a festive celebration earlier this month for around 250 people.
This Christmas party was hosted alongside our partners Ashley Community Housing, The Care Forum and South Glos Council.
The day was filled with highlights: Christmas music, delicious food, a visit from Santa, creative workshops, face painting, balloon-art, a judo taster session, inspiring community performances, and the ever-popular raffle.
The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of festive cheer – a lovely way to celebrate community, connection, and togetherness at the end of the year.
Staff celebrations
Last Thursday, over 200 employees from across the 300-mile radius joined in on our annual staff awards and quiz with the ‘Wiltshire Wurzels’ taking the converted top prize.
The quiz delivered its usual chaos, with contested answers and general exuberance. Congratulations to our winning quiz team champions ‘Resting Grinch Face’ (BaNES & Wilts DVA team)!
