On Sunday 21st September, Julian House was invited by the Bath BID to host a charity pop up for Summer Sunday.
As part of our charity stand at Summer Sunday we encouraged guests to get artistic and participate in our collaborative painting activities.
Children and adults alike were able to sit down as a break from their shopping trips and start painting which allowed them to create unique artworks which they were able to bring home.
We were also joined by local artist Laura Richards who was live painting a piece called Hope. Spectators had the opportunity to witness the evolution of Laura’s painting throughout the day, and the finished artwork was donated to our facilities dedicated to helping victims of domestic violence.
People were asked to a collaborative canvas, leaving behind symbols and messages of optimism. By day’s end, the once-blank canvas transformed into a vibrant tapestry of illustrations, inspiring quotes, and a kaleidoscope of colours, showcasing the collective creativity of Bath’s residents and visitors. This collaborative artwork will also be donated to our services, further amplifying the supportive services available to those in need within the community.
We wanted to say thank you to Laura Richards (@lauramrichards.art) for supplying the painting equipment for the activities and for her time and talent to create the beautiful painting.
