Mario Kart challenge at Bath Spa Uni for Julian House

We have been working with a group of students from Bath Spa university as they take on their entrepreneurship module where they are tasked with organising an innovative fundraising event.

The group decided to throw a Mario Kart challenge along with live music, drinks and a competition to see the fastest racer.

The group chose Mario as it’s a very easy game to play and everyone enjoys it. Also, we could easily provide all the necessary equipment. We organised it in collaboration with the Game Society from Bath Spa.

To promote the event the students had a social media campaign, the Student Union website, and by putting up posters around campus.

There were some minor issues with time management, but they solved them quickly by adapting the activities to the available time. Instead of playing 1 vs 1 in the final round, the group made teams of 3 to finish the event on time.

This challenge allowed the students to have a peek into the world of event management while raising vital funds and awareness for Julian House- a win win!
