Thank you to Nevada Construction and Jewson for their gardening support at one of our refuges where they created some much needed planters for gardening and vegetable growing.
Ethan Pratt and Dave Anders from Nevada Construction headed to our refuge for a sunny morning in Wiltshire, where they helped us to create a safe and enriching outdoor space for our clients at one of our domestic abuse refuges. Another huge thank you to Nevada Construction for supporting this project, and to Jewson for providing the materials we needed to bring it to life.

As a charity specialising in providing safe and secure places for those who no longer have access to them, often due to complex and deeply personal circumstances, support from local businesses is so important- especially those who are experts in their field!
Holistic activities like gardening offer a powerful and therapeutic way to unwind. For those who have experienced significant trauma and abuse, being able to offer an environment that fosters safety, and, above all, a sense of home, is incredibly meaningful.
"I’ve said it before, but there’s truly nothing I love more than businesses and communities coming together to create something special. I can't wait to see the progress, and I will be sure to stop by in a couple of months to pinch some veg!! Thank you kindly to the Nevada Team for lending me the tape measure and leaf blower for the photo op. It made me feel really important and helpful." Grace Dearson, philanthropy and corporate partnerships.
“Honestly, I can’t thank you all enough. The boys were just fantastic. The clients are all so happy, full of energy and inspirational ideas. We’re excited for what’s next, and I’ll be sure to keep you all updated!” Kim, Casework Coordinator at the refuge.
Without the generosity of Nevada, Jewson, and the time and effort given by Ethan and Dave, we wouldn’t have the beautiful outdoor space that our clients can now enjoy: a place to relax, grow, and tend to their garden.
