Julian House is taking part in an inspiring art exhibition called ‘This City We Live In’ will open to the public from Thursday 24th July to 16th September.
Presented in a collaborative style, this exhibition is held at CoLab Atrium in Exeter and includes the artwork from people accessing Devon based charities Julian House and CoLab and funded by the Urban Learning Academy through UK Shared Prosperity Funding.
Tutors Charlie Nixon and Sibell Barrowclough started the CoLab Creativity group together and since then members have produced a huge amount of fantastic creative pieces, from sculpture to painting.
'The ‘This City We Live In’ Exhibition is the work of many hands, working together to make beautiful and meaningful art pieces. It’s a chance for learners to showcase and really celebrate all the truly incredible work they’ve created and everything they’ve achieved since the group began' Sibell Barrowclough
Now some of the group’s work has been collated and will be on display publicly, in art exhibition to celebrate the groups achievements.
Attendees have told us that the art group has been a lifeline during difficult times, and somewhere they feel they belong.” Charlie Nixon, Activities Co-ordinator at Julian House.
The exhibition aims to not only highlight their artistic talents, but it also offers a powerful perspective into their lives, which in turn empowers and inspires others to reach out for support.
Open to the public from Thursday 24th July to 16th September 2025.
Monday-Friday 10am-1pm and 2pm-4pm.
Wat Tyler House, 3 King William Street, Exeter, EX4 6PD.
