Walking the Cotswold Way: Rebecca’s 102 mile challenge in aid of Julian House

Updated: Apr 24

Meet Rebecca Clifford and her loyal companion, Brian. Together, they raised £1500 while embarking on an extraordinary journey: walking the Cotswold Way, covering an impressive 102 miles.

“I am training every weekend with Brian, trying to get as many long walks in as possible, but I’m very aware that 102 miles is going to be very challenging! I’ve wanted to do some fundraising for a long time, as a kind of personal, solo mission.

Homelessness is something very close to my heart. In the past a friend of mine became homeless and subsequently took his own life. With the cost-of-living crisis at the moment I fear many people will fall into crisis. So I am eager to support a charity helping people who may be in a similar situation. As soon as I read about all the amazing work Julian House does for all sorts of different people, I knew I wanted to fundraise for them!”  Rebecca

Apart from a slightly swollen ankle (due to an old injury) and a bit of sun burn the adventurers came back unscathed having had an incredible journey.

"Brian was good as gold and absolutely loved it, I'm still yet to tire him out and I think he would have done the whole thing again if he could have. So glad we can support Julian House and the fantastic work they do." Rebecca

From everyone at Julian House we wanted to say a big THANK YOU to both walkers and we are so grateful that Rebecca (and Brian) took on this epic challenge for us!
