We have an Assertive Outreach Team who go out onto the streets of Basingstoke and Deane to help people off the streets and into accommodation.
How we can help
This service can help people in Basingstoke and Deane who:
- Are sleeping rough
- Are leading a street-based lifestyle, which may involve begging or drinking on the street
We identify people in need of support through regular outreach sessions and by acting on local reports of people who appear to be sleeping rough.
We work with individuals and communities to improve the lives of rough sleepers by engaging, educating and reducing anti-social behaviour.
By working in partnership with local housing and support providers, we are able to move people off the streets and into appropriate accommodation quickly.
We will seek to secure a rapid, supported re-connection for rough sleepers from outside the local area.
Volunteers & befriending
We are recruiting, training and supporting volunteers to help people move off the streets and supporting those with Lived Experience of homelessness into volunteering roles.
