Julian House provide a service in B&NES, Wiltshire and Swindon to work with people who are accommodated and at risk of becoming homeless. We apply a creative and innovative approach to finding sustainable solutions; ensuring people keep their homes and do not become street homeless. We specialise in engaging with people who have complex needs.
We have a team of Homeless Prevention Caseworkers who are able to work with people offering advice, support, information and practical help. The Caseworkers are all trained and experienced in providing benefits assistance, particularly Universal Credit, and can support individuals with managing money and maximising income.
We can meet people wherever they need; for example – in councils, day centres and their own home. We will offer support around rent arrears, benefits, substance misuse, neighbourhood issues such as anti-social behaviour, emotional and practical issues and support them around potential evictions. We aim to ensure that no-one loses their accommodation and we work closely with local agencies such as substance issue teams, medical and mental health professionals, local councils, job centres and training & employment agencies.
