Domestic Abuse Refuge (Somerset)

Julian House is the single point of access for high quality refuge accommodation for survivors of domestic abuse.

Prison Resettlement Service

Julian House provides a specialist Prison Resettlement worker to provide housing support for those individuals leaving prison returning to South Somerset & Sedgemoor Council areas who are identified as at risk of homelessness. The service works with individuals both pre and post prison release to alleviate rough sleeping and identify, secure and sustain appropriate accommodation.

The service is commissioned through Rough Sleeper Initiative funding allocated to South Somerset and Sedgemoor Councils

Referrals are via South Somerset and Sedgemoor Council Housing Options Teams, Probation Service, Prisons and other specialist community partnership housing support agencies. Referred will have a local connection to Somerset.

Supported Housing (Somerset)

 

Julian House provides supported accommodation for single homeless people with low-medium support needs, referred by Somerset Council. The aim of the service is to enable residents to develop sufficient independent living skills to move on successfully to either lower support, more appropriate or more permanent accommodation within 6 to 12 months. 

The service is funded through Somerset Council.

CAS 3 

The CAS 3 initiative aims to provide accommodation for prison leavers to enable them to live independently and offer the support they need to move on to an independent, crime-free future with our support officers making weekly visits to provide mandatory support.
