From virtual quizzes, to a virtual gig or at home sport challenges, there are lots of ways for you to fundraise on your own, with family and friends, or with your workmates to help make a real difference to vulnerable people in our hostel, domestic abuse refuge and services.
Funds you’ve worked hard to raise will go towards supporting vulnerable people within our care during the Coronavirus crisis. Click here to read more about our ‘Emergency Coronavirus Appeal’ and to donate directly.
Virtual Fundraising Ideas
Join us for My RideLondon on 15th and 16th August and help us raise much needed funds to keep our services running.
Sign Up Here to join one of the world’s greatest cycling events and raise money to help support Julian House and stand up to homelessness.
Missing your regular pub quiz? Fancy hosting your own? Get your friends and family together virtually to compete for a prize, while helping to support vulnerable men and women experiencing homelessness.
Visit www.virtualquizevents.co.uk to schedule your quiz, recruit teams and donate proceeds to Julian House!
Stream a musical performance live on Facebook or YouTube and ask for donations to your own Just Giving page or to our Emergency Appeal.
With a bit of extra time at home, why not set yourself an epic sporting challenge. Take inspiration from our fundraisers Matt and Tilley who climbed Mt Everest on their staircase, or Paul who’s doing his own indoor Ironman.
Virtual & Birthday Collections
Virtual collections are an easy way to raise much-needed funds for Julian House and you can do it without leaving your house. Ask friends and family to donate money for your birthday or donate the money you save from your weekly commute or daily coffee fix to our Emergency Appeal.
Sleep-Out in your Garden
While our Big Sleep-Outs are on hold at the moment, challenge yourself and your family to sleep out for one night in your garden. Grab your sleeping bag, cardboard and torch and spend the night under the stars raising vital funds for Julian House.
Make a Garden of Hope
This is a nice idea for children and our more creative fundraisers. Cut out and colour 5 paper flowers using the template here. Write a message or poem of hope on each flower sign board to help the people within our hostel and refuge. Then ‘plant’ them in your garden.
After creating your flowers, please considering making a small donation to our Emergency Fund to help keep our life saving services open.
Put on your dancing shoes and get moving for Julian House. Why not pledge to dance 20 minutes every day for a month? Ask your friends and family to get involved and share you videos and Just Giving page online and on social media.
Or why not host a dance contest? YouTube has some great teach yourself videos and the Charleston is one of them. Ask your contestants to pay an entry fee and send in their best dance video to a virtual judging panel.
How to raise sponsorship
After you’ve set up your page, it’s time to starting promoting your challenge to family/friends/colleagues and potential sponsors. See our fundraising tips which offers advise on how to do this.
Contact your local press, make a video appeal for your social media or start ringing around – all great ways to promote and maximise your sponsorship for Julian House.
How can we help?
