Join us on World Homeless Day 10th October 2019 to take a stand against homelessness. We’re asking schools, clubs, friends, families and companies to commit a day to learning about homelessness, through our education packs, and help raise money for Julian House. This could be through a mufti day, ‘wear a bobble hat’ day, cake sale, quiz, sports tournament or even a talent show. Help us raise awareness and support the many vulnerable men, women and children in our care.
Schools & Clubs
Homelessness is a complex issue. It can be hard to understand why, how and who can end up homeless. Our free teaching resources are designed to encourage pupils to think about homelessness in a different way, in a bid to better understand it. Designed to compliment the current KS2 and KS3 curriculum, our packs contain various lesson plans (including English, Maths and Art.) Each plan contains easy to follow directions, activities, Powerpoints and multimedia. Use them on World Homeless Day, 10th October, accompanied by a mufti day to help raise vital funds for Julian House. Request our pack here.
Get your colleagues together and show your support for the many men and women living on our streets. Host your own Bake Off competition, borrow our ‘smoothie bike’ and sell smoothies or even get your colleagues to donate £2 to wear a bobble hat to work.
Friends & Family
Why not team up and challenge each other to do something daring in aid of Julian House. Set up your own fundraising page and get sponsored to do the 3 peaks challenge, to shave your hair, run 5k every day for a week, or even ditch your phone for 48 hours! Up for the challenge?
