Trowbridge Bike Workshop

With the lovely warm sunny weather, we are seeing lots more customers coming in to the bike workshops. At the beginning of April, the Bath workshop took over £ 1700 in one day and the Trowbridge Workshop sold 11 bikes. Servicing and repairs is also picking up and we will be encouraging our Bath customers to book in or utilise our other workshops for a speedy service. Bristol continues to be busy with mainly servicing and repairs and we are working on improving the selection of adult refurbished bikes to try and improve sales.

In December we opened our fourth bike workshop at Erlestoke Prison near Devizes in Wiltshire. We are delivering bike maintenance training to the prisoners to support them to be more employable on release. The prisoners are refurbishing donated bikes which are being sold through our community bike workshops. So far, around 15 prisoners have utilised the bike workshop and over 200 bikes have been refurbished.

Julian House Trading is currently recruiting for a Temporary and Relief Workshop Manager & Training Instructor for Erlestoke. If you are interested, or know anyone who might be, please visit our jobs page for more details and to apply: https://www.julianhouse.org.uk/jobs.htm

We are looking for Volunteer Bike Workshop Mechanics to join the team in Bristol and Trowbridge, so if you know anyone who is mechanically minded and has a passion for bikes please direct them to the job descriptions below.
