For women, homelessness is often shaped by fear. Sleeping on the streets can feel unsafe, so many hide in public places, cars, or remain in dangerous relationships just to survive.

Rough sleeping is the most visible side of homelessness that we can see, but the majority of homelessness remains hidden out of the public eye. Hidden homelessness refers to people who may be considered homeless but whose housing situation is not ‘visible’ on the streets or in official statistics

Rising temperatures can pose a real threat to people rough sleeping or in unsuitable accommodation.

At Julian House, we understand the unique challenges that single-parent households face. We work closely with these families to provide long-term support in a non-judgmental setting so that they can focus on building a brighter future for themselves. 

Following the Supreme Court’s ruling, we remain committed to trans inclusion. We aim to create a safe, inclusive environment for all clients, staff, and volunteers.
