UK deaths of 1,611 homeless people is at a record high

Tragically, new data released today by the Museum of Homelessness showed that 1,611 people experiencing homelessness died in 2024.

That’s an average of four needless deaths every day of the year.

These are the highest numbers since records began – and behind the shocking statistics are real people who died struggling to survive without the safety and dignity of their own home.

This is unacceptable, and Julian House is determined to fight the injustices underpinning these findings.

We stand with people experiencing homelessness – offering outreach, accommodation and wraparound support to those who need it.  Tackling the homelessness crisis, and the causes of the crisis.

Thank you to everyone who supports us to do this. Together, we can change lives and save lives of people experiencing homelessness.
