Invite a speaker

Often it is through meeting, listening, learning and speaking to one of our representatives, that people feel they know about the charity and the vital work we do.

Our community speakers help raise awareness and funds to support vulnerable and marginalised men and women experiencing homelessness. They can offer a variety of talks that cater to all kinds of audiences:

  • community groups
  • social clubs
  • schools
  • youth groups
  • corporate businesses

We’ll often bring along information leaflets, run simple interactive sessions for adults and children and can give you loads of fundraising ideas!

We can offer talks in the areas where we deliver services. These include Basingstoke, West and North Wilts, Bath, Bristol, Somerset, Devon & Dorset. We will adapt the assemblies so that they are age appropriate.

Our talks are free, but we do rely on the generosity of donations to continue our vital work.

‘We had an inspirational talk from Jessica who is the Senior Community and Events Fundraiser and this resulted in over 100 donations from members to provide Christmas presents for victims of domestic abuse. We have held several raffles to date which have so far raised over £700 with hopefully more to follow.’ – Saltford AM WI

“AgencyUK were so grateful to Cathy from Julian House for coming and talking to the wider team about the support they provide for people who are homeless as well as helping people who have been victims of domestic abuse.  We  learned that Julian House provides services across the region, not just in Bath.  Our team have been raising money for Julian House through their events such as the Circuit of Bath walk and we are now all inspired to support more in the coming year.  We now understand how we can help in more effective ways and feel more reassured that when we see homeless people on the streets of Bath we know that Julian House will always be somewhere they can turn too for not only an immediate roof over their heads but can help those people with a longer term strategy to help them get off the streets including employment support, health support and counselling”. – Amy Stobie, Co Founder
